  4. School violence makes headlines frequently.  Are metal detectors and guards a deterrent to those who may commit such acts?
  5. Each Presidential candidate is proposing changes to the Social Security System.  Which do you believe to be in the best interest of the people?
  6. Should the government pay people to rebuild homes time and again when they live in known flood plains?
  7. A riot broke out after the LA Lakers won their recent NBA Championship.  What do you think this says about American sports?

  9. Do you feel that the American Government is to blame for the deaths at Waco, TX?
  10. Do you feel the hype about Y2K was warranted?
  11. During the Sydney Olympics several athletes tested positive for drugs.  One athlete from Romania was stripped of her medal.  The team doctor admitted administering the cold medicine and that the athlete had no knowledge of it.  Should she have been stripped of this medal?  Why do you believe this?
