“As Miss Rodeo Iowa I wish to pass on my love and knowledge of the sport and the athletes involved, especially the welfare of the animal athletes.  It is important that those who are not involved directly in livestock production understand the care taken to protect the animals from injury and the value stock contractors and producers place on their animals.  I look forward to bringing the joy of sitting on a horse, perhaps for the first time, as I work with children and adults at exceptional rodeos.  As I take on this role it is important to me that I continue to promote the sport of rodeo and the western lifestyle in an honorable, personable manner in order to bring its wonder and excitement to those unfamiliar with our western roots.
