The Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa
Pageant was developed to provide young ladies between the ages of 14 and
18 the opportunity to participate in a state level pageant modeled after
the Miss Rodeo Iowa Pageant and to hold a state level title with limited
responsibilities. It is held in conjunction with the Miss Rodeo Iowa
Pageant during the Tri-State Rodeo in Ft. Madison, Iowa. Contestants
are judged in three main categories - Appearance, Personality and
Horsemanship and receive points through the demonstration of their
horsemanship abilities and knowledge, personal interviews, the
presentation of a prepared speech, answering of an impromptu question,
photogenics and modeling. The pageant is supported by the Miss Rodeo
Iowa Pageant program.

- Not have obtained the age of 19 on or before
January 1following the pageant
- Iowa Resident
- Single, Never Married or Pregnant
- Never Convicted of a Crime

your entry. Official wardrobe guidelines are included within the
rulebook. This information is provided as a means to help you begin early
preparations and is subject to change. All times are tentative.
Friday
Morning - Horsemanship
Long-sleeved fitted blouse, Wrangler pant product, boots, hat, belt and
buckle. No vests, jackets, gloves or chaps *
Afternoon - Personal Interview Followed by Prepared
Speeches and Impromptu Question
Long-sleeved fitted blouse, Wrangler pant product, boots, hat, belt and
buckle. Vest and/or jacket may be worn. Same outfit will be worn for
interviews and speeches.
Evening - Rodeo Grand Entry
Long-sleeved fitted blouse, Wrangler pant product, boots, hat, belt and
buckle. Vest and/or jacket may be worn. No chaps or gloves. *
Saturday
Morning - Parade
Long-sleeved fitted blouse, Wrangler pant product, boots, hat, belt and
buckle. Vest or jacket may be worn. No chaps or gloves.*
Afternoon - Fashion Show and Coronation
Western style dress or a blouse/skirt combination. Appropriate vests or
jackets can be worn.
Evening - Rodeo Grand Entry for Miss Teen Rodeo

* It is acceptable to wear an arena outfit
more than once as long as it remains clean and neat. Mix and match your
