Emily Paige Carson is the 11-year old daughter of Karl and Tracy Carson. She is the youngest of three children and is a very proud auntie.

Emily was crowned "Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess 2008" during the Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration. Along with the title, she captured the horsemanship, speech, personality and appearance awards.

Emily loves to share her passion for horses and rodeo with everyone she meets. She says that rodeo is a family friendly sport with something for everyone to enjoy. Emily believes that as Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess she can be a positive role model in the community and to her peers. Her hobbies include soccer, volleyball, playing clarinet, shopping, and rodeo. She is also a member of the Just for Kix dance team.  She would like to remind everyone that rodeo is not just for the cowboys . . . but also for the "Princesses."

Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess symbolizes the young women of North Dakota wishing to further promote the sport of rodeo and the western way of life. She is the ideal type American and represents rodeo and North Dakota with enthusiasm and pride. While spreading goodwill for Mandan and North Dakota , Miss Rodeo Mandan is acquiring lifetime experiences for her future.

Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess serves as an ambassador for Rodeo and Mandan portraying excellence in sportsmanship, high moral and ethical character, and reflects careful and humane treatment of animals. Miss Rodeo Mandan is expected to act, speak, and dress according to the prestige of the title as well as have an understanding of the great sport of rodeo.
