Meredith
Lockhart was a residential and commercial interior designer for thirteen
years before entering into the world of high fashion western clothing. Her
creations have been seen on the runways and in boutiques from New York to
LA for the last fifteen years. Meredith's creations have been seen on
rodeo queens at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and on country music stars
for videos, CD covers, And on nationally televised award shows. Some of
her fashions have been seen on stars such as Brooks and Dunn, John Denver,
Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson, and currently Montgomery Gentry.
The creations are made in a one hundred year old converted school house in
North East Kansas. For the past four years she has taken some time out
from the fashion scene to work with a youth oriented theatre company in
Kansas City, Missouri, designing for theatre productions as well as
teaching costume design and mask making to inner city, adjudicated, and
at-risk students. At present Meredith is a substitute teacher, and teaches
art and assists students with homework in an after-school program that is
made up of mostly at-risk students at a county middle school.
Recently Meredith has
decided to return to the western fashion scene to design and make western
fashions for rodeo queens and do some selected western couture fashion
shows in the west. The result is Merezia Western Creations. Click on contact
us for more information.
